Kim

I’m a mother of three. My husband and I are enjoying our fairly new role as grandparents too. Along with my daughter, I am also a co owner of Once Upon A Dream Decorating and Rentals. I am so excited for this new venture.

After many years in the construction industry and corporate world, I decided that I needed a change. No disrespect to the industry. I have met lots of wonderful people, learned a lot about business and have been able to work for many years gaining skills and management experience. I put in the hard work and long hours that were required but found I was missing out on time with my family and friends, either because I was working late at the office or I was too tired to attend events after work. My priorities were out of whack. This change allows me to put the people in my life, that I love, first.

Getting into this position allows me to do something I’ve always enjoyed which is, plain and simple, bringing happiness to people. I’m looking forward to helping to create unforgettable events specifically for the guest(s) of honour. We’ve all had dreams about what our wedding, birthdays, baby showers, graduations, etc would be like. Life is about making beautiful memories with the people that we love and I aspire to make what you’ve evisioned, come true.

Breanna

I am the daughter of Kim and co-own Once Upon A Dream with her. I have two little ones and one fur baby. I’m lucky enough to have been married to my best friend for almost 5 years now too! I have worn many hats in terms of careers in life so far, from working with children to being an inspections coordinator. I decided to quit my job after having my first born and be a stay at home Mom.

Though being a Mom is the hardest, yet most rewarding job I’ve ever had it was the best decision I have ever made. Now with two littles I am ready to not only be a Mom, but start my dream career as an event decorator. The love of event decorating has been a huge part of my life for a very long time. Any opportunity to go all out decorating for an event has always been something I make happen. From Halloween parties, birthday parties and showers I always go above and beyond. Kim (My Mom) and I have talked for years about starting this business together as it’s been a dream of ours, and I am so grateful that we pulled the trigger and are going for it. So that’s a little about me and why we have created Once Upon A Dream.
